ANGELA IS BACK!
1984 is celebrating the cult sequels Sleepaway Camp II: Unhappy Campers and Sleepaway Camp III: Teenage Wasteland with a new officially licensed soundtrack EP...PLUS an expanded softcover edition of Jeff Hayes' Sleepaway Camp: Making the Movie and Reigniting the Campfire, containing over 100 newly-written bonus pages on parts 2 and 3.
The 12-inch vinyl EP contains four never-before released tracks by John Altyn, the "Happy Camper Song," and a bonus flexi postcard with the Sleepaway Camp III audio trailer! The vinyl edition is cut at 45 RPM and remastered from the original master tapes, with gatefold artwork designed by Robert Sammelin.
Five vinyl colorways* are available:
“Blood Red” (opaque) / limited to 300 copies
”Camp Rolling Hills” split-colored (dark blue & light blue) / limited to 150 copies
”Shit Sisters” pot haze-colored vinyl – includes print autographed by Carol Chambers & Amy Fields / limited to 100 copies
“Riff’s Switchblade” silver vinyl – includes print autographed by Daryl Wilcher / limited to 100 copies
“Coke White” (opaque) – includes autographed “Sleepaway” sheet music by John Altyn / limited to 100 copies
*Actual vinyl coloring might be slightly different from the mock-ups, as per usual.
CDs are also available / 500 copies (CD editions do not include the flexi postcard).
Bundles are priced $10 above the base music price and include Jeff Hayes’ 300-page softcover book Sleepaway Camp: Making the Movie and Reigniting the Campfire, as featured in Fangoria, Rue Morgue, Bloody Disgusting, Daily Dead and more!
Vinyl and CD Tracklisting:
1. Outta Control (from Sleepaway Camp II)
2. Sleepaway (from Sleepaway Camp III)
3. Sleepaway (Alternate Lyrics)
4. Sleepaway (Extended Mix)
5. Happy Camper Song (from Sleepaway Camp II and III)
FLEXI POSTCARD NOTE: The Sleepaway Camp III flexi postcard is a free bonus novelty (with mono sound) that may not be as easily playable on all turntables. Since flexis are quite thin, it always helps to play them on top of an LP or slipmat, and perhaps with a small weight (a coin, for example) to make them a bit more sturdy. More tips can be found in this video, for example.
